Widden Easter Stars – Part One

Horses consigned for sale by Widden Stud have been a force to be reckoned with this season in Australia, nine of them winning some 16 stakes races led by the Group One winners Whobegotyou, All Silent and Typhoon Zed, plus recent stakes-winners Champagne Harmony and Belong to Many, not to mention South African Group One winner Le Drakaar.

From Foal Gallery to Easter Yearling Sale

The Breednet Foal Gallery of 2007 featured some stunning babies from many of our leading farms and some of them are about to take another turn in the limelight when they come to Sydney for the 2009 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.

At the 2007 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale the two top priced fillies of the sale were sold one after the other with an Encosta de Lago filly from Twyla making $2.2 million for Coolmore Stud to the bid of Woodlands Stud followed by a Redoute’s Choice filly from Tycoon Lil that made $2.1 million for Arrowfield Stud to the bid of John Ferguson on behalf of Darley.
