For a horse person visiting the UK, Newmarket is a must visit destination as the epicentre of thoroughbred activities in Europe, where the racing and breeding industries co-exist right along side each other.

All In A Name - Exceed And Excel

Exceed and Excel has established himself as a great source of early two year-old winners so we thought he was a good candidate for the next instalment of our series of naming stories highlighting this season’s new juveniles.

With only 95 live foals in this third crop for Exceed and Excel it is his smallest crop to date with the two most expensive members contained within it now named.

Sire Prospect Tracker
The Breednet Sire Prospect Tracker will see some action at the weekend, however already one of our Triple AAA rated horses has hit a small hurdle and will be sidelined until the latter part of the spring.

Last season’s Group One MRC Blue Diamond winner Reward for Effort turned in a brilliant gallop in trackwork on Tuesday morning, but later in the day his trainer Peter Moody revealed all was not well.
