Tasmanian Horse Transport has been transporting horses through Australia''s Eastern states since 1990 and currently have a staff of 6 with 4 professional drivers. Our main office is Latrobe, Tasmania, and our speciality is transporting horses through the route from Hobart to Brisbane. We have 3 quality maintained vehicles, including a luxury Western Star available.
We understand that choosing the right transport service to deliver your horse is vitally important to you, and we believe that our combination of safe, high quality vehicles, experienced caring staff, and professional attitude and service, will more than satisfy your requirements.
Tasmanian Horse Transport travels between Hobart (Tasmania) and Brisbane (Queensland). We complete four(4) crossings of the Bass Strait per week via the ferry service, and up to six(6) crossings depending on available bookings.
On all runs between Melbourne and Brisbane, the horses are given regular stopovers during the duration of the trip. We travel the Newell Highway stopping at Dubbo on select consignments.
We are very aware that not all horses travel well, and we go to great lengths to make sure every horse is treated and assessed on an individual basis throughout the trip. Stopovers are well planned and strictly adhered to which ensures your horse is safe, comfortable, and happy. The Tasmanian Horse Transport range of trucks are spotlessly maintained, and driven by quality professional drivers who have an intimate knowledge of both horses, and the vehicles.
Some horses may have special needs and we are quite happy to cater for individual requirements, providing this is clearly defined and pre-arranged prior to loading. Our general feed is ''A'' class Grade 1 chaff, oaten and lucerne chaff, and pre mix, and meadow hay is also available at all times.
