The Group I winning son of Danehill failed to get any mares in foal this year
so will now enjoy his retirement years in peace. The sire of over 150 stakes-winners worldwide, Danehill Dancer excelled in both hemispheres, notably as the sire of globetrotting superstar Choisir, champion mare Private Steer, star colt Mastercraftsman and Epsom Oaks winner Dancing Rain.
His success was achieved from humble beginnings as he was far from popular in his early years at stud, standing initially in Australia for as little as $7,500.
