Chatswood Stud Announce Fees

Media Release - Thursday June 5
It's been another remarkable year for the Chatswood Stud stallions.

Following on from Reward For Efforts three-quarter sister Overreach winning the 2013 Group I ATC Golden Slipper Stakes, it was Anacheeva's turn this year.

AnacheevaHis half-sister O'Marilyn (O'Reilly) convincingly won the Group I The Oaks Stud Manawatu Sires' Produce Stakes, so she should end up being New Zealand's Champion 2 y-old Filly.

Should she be awarded Champion status she will be following in the illustrious footsteps of her half-brothers Anacheeva, Champion 3 y-old miler and Headturner Champion 3YO middle distance.

It's quite a remarkable feat for one broodmare to produce three different Group I winners, but to produce three champions is rare, if in fact it's ever been done.

Anacheeva in our view is a real sleeper in the stallion ranks. We truly believe he has all the hallmarks of a future successful stallion. He was a champion himself and his brother and half-sister are champions.

His sire Anabaa was a champion sire and continues to sire Group I winners, his son Style Vendrome winning the 2013 Gr 1 Poule d'Essai des Poulains as his 15th individual Gr 1 winner, six of those Group I winners coming in Australasia.

It's still a very current pedigree and he is extraordinary good value at only $6,600.

Reward For Effort, has continued to be very popular with breeders, in fact he was in the top ten most popular stallion in Australia for the 2013 breeding season.

Reward for EffortHis Sire Exceed and Excel has continued his global dominance in siring exceptional 2 y-olds around the world, in recent years he has sired the winners of three Blue Diamond's, two Sires Produce, two Champagne Stakes, one Golden Slipper, and one Breeders Cup Juvenile.

On the law of averages with his pedigree and race performance, Reward for Effort has to be a great chance to produce some early two year olds.

His yearlings have been well received at the sales, although a significant number of his yearlings never made it to the sales as they were retained by their breeders to race. His rising 2 y-olds have found their way into the stables of all the leading trainers. We are quietly confident he will get some early runners.

His fee remains at $11,000

Purrealist, looking for a value stallion who has the ability to sire a Group I winner and stakes horses look no further than Purrealist.

He has already sired a Group I winner in Hawkspur, plus stakes winners like Storm Approach, Melrose Place and Adjuster and he is the sire you want who is going to produce plenty of metropolitan winners. Super value at $5,500
