Champion
sire Fastnet Rock posted a new stakes-winner in the UK when the improving colt
Table Rock captured the Listed Sir Henry Cecil Stakes over a mile at Newmarket.
The Aidan O'Brien trained three-year-old, an easy Curragh handicap winner on
his previous start, saw off some useful opposition to land the Listed contest
despite concerns about the rain-softened ground.
"He got a bit further back than he wanted, but he responded well to Ryan
(Moore). He's raced on yielding at the Curragh, but there's been a lot of rain
and the ground was a concern," said Coolmore's UK representative, Kevin
Buckley.
Table Rock has won four of eight starts and is from the Sadler's Wells mare
Small Sacrifice, a grand-daughter of Group I winner Trusted Partner.
He is the 62 stakes-winner worldwide for Fastnet Rock.
