Australian
bred horses scored a winning double at Fairview in South Africa on Monday with
a maiden win for Flying Galileo and a fourth success for Mia Forza.
Three year-old Shaft gelding Flying Galileo broke through to win over 1200
metres by three and a quarter lengths.
Trained by Grant Paddock, Chic Gal was a $15,000 Inglis Select Weanling
purchase for James Bester Bloodstock from the draft of Holbrook Thoroughbreds
and is the first winner for unraced Galileo (IRE) mare Chic Gal, a half-sister
to the dam of Proceedwithcaution, winner of last Saturday's Listed WATC Belmont
Classic.
Five year-old Fastnet Rock mare Mia Forza won over 1200 metres by
three-quarters of a length for the Justin Snaith stable, her fourth win from 19
starts.
A $75,000 Magic Millions purchase for World Wide Bloodstock from the Yarraman
Park draft, Mia Forza is one of three winners from Belle Mia, a Zabeel
half-sister to Group I Hong Kong International Mile winner The Duke.
