Triple Crown Syndications' exceptional Group 1 winning 2yo Peggy Jean has been listed as a nominee for the prestigious NSW Two-Year-Old of the Year Award which is to be presented at the black tie 'Racing's Night of Champions' hosted by the NSW Racehorse Owners Association (NSWROA) at the Star on Thursday the 7th of August 2014.

This is a night to celebrate the best of the best in NSW.

The 2014 nominees for the NSW Two-Year-Old of the Year Award are;

1.Peggy Jean
2.Mossfun
3.Earthquake

Peggy JeanIn 2011, there were 16,139 foals born and it is a great honour to have her in the top three two year-olds from this crop and in such outstanding company.

Peggy Jean announced her arrival on the 2yo scene with a determined win in the $250,000Restricted Listed Inglis Classic race at Royal Randwick after chasing down the talented Boomwaa.

After a brief freshen up she returned with an eye-catching run from last at the start of the straight to run 2nd by a head to the Golden Slipper placegetter Bring Me The Maid in the Group 2 Magic Night Stakes at her home track of Rosehill.

This had her tuned up beautifully for her main target, the $1,000,000 Group 1 Sires' Produce Stakes at Royal Randwick.

Peggy Jean claimed an ultra-impressive victory in this Group 1 feature after having to come from the back of the field before jockey Nash Rawiller squeezed her through the smallest of gaps to get clear running and then pulling away late to also claim a bit of history with it being the first ever race of 'The Championships' to be run and won.

Peggy Jean has already collected over $900,000 in prizemoney and bonuses for her owners in just her 2yo year. She is now back in work at Gerald Ryan's stables at Rosehill and we are pleased to report that she has matured and strengthened up considerably in her time out. So we now look forward to a very exciting Spring carnival with her.

Congratulations to our owners for her nomination for the NSW Two-Year-Old of the Year Award!
