Our dual Group I winning sprinter Nicconi has finished the 2013/2014 season with 10 individual first crop winners putting him second only to the division leader I Am Invincible in terms of winners.

Nicconi has planted the seeds of success for the future with impressive metropolitan winners Festivity (Gai Waterhouse) and Nicoscene (Anthony Freedman) set to target spring goals in Sydney and Melbourne.

Nicoscene bolted in to win by three lengths over 1200 metres in early June at Moonee Valley before being put away with spring in mind, while Festivity scored two very easy wins at Canterbury in May when resuming from a spell.

Connections resisted the lure of the Brisbane Winter Carnival for Festivity and may well be rewarded for their patience with the upcoming Princess Series in Sydney culminating in the Group I ATC Flight Stakes likely to figure on her radar.

As a racehorse Nicconi hit his straps at three winning the Group I AJC The Galaxy before training on at four to take the Group I VRC Lightning Stakes, so much will be expected of his offspring this season as maturity brings out their best.

Already, Nicconi has had 22 winners and place-getters from 37 runners, equating to 60% of his runners winning or placing as a two year-old, which is an impressive statistic going forward.

Nicconi has had his fee reduced this year to $13,200, so is amazingly good value for a stallion that is poised for a big upswing.
