Ridden quietly by James McDonald, the John O'Shea trained Monogram came with a
late rush to snatch a last stride win in the 1200 metre maiden.Held in good regard by the stable, she is entered for the Group I MRC Thousand Guineas.
Monogram is the fourth winner from four foals to race from Daanet al Dunya (USA), a blue-blooded sister to European Horse of the Year Fantastic Light and half-sister to the grand-dam of Australian Group I winning sprinter Your Song.
Daanet al Dunya has a yearling colt by Sepoy and is due to foal again to Medaglia D'Oro, who is back at Darley in the Hunter Valley this year at the reduced fee of $55,000.
