Rock entire Rock Sturdy may be looking for a home at stud sooner rather than
later after being withdrawn from the Group I ATC Epsom Handicap this Saturday
due to injury.
The Joe Pride trained four year-old scored a dominant win in the Group II ATC
Shannon Quality last Saturday and would have been favourite for the Epsom.
The Gooree Stud homebred has a suspensory ligament issue which may ultimately prove
career ending.
Rock Sturdy raced just 11 times winning four races and placing five times with
earnings topping $320,000.
Rock Sturdy is the best of three winners from Tzu Hsi, a metro winning
half-sister by Quest for Fame (GB) to Group III winning sprinter Swift Alliance,
who stands at Akaroa Thoroughbreds in NSW.
Tzu His has a Northern Meteor yearling filly and is due to foal to another of
the Gooree Stud bred young sires in Smart Missile.
