Sire
sensation Starspangledbanner added a new winner to his tally in the UK
overnight when Ocean Sheridan saluted at Pontefract.
Never further back than fourth in six previous runs, the Michael Dodds trained
colt broke through at last with a head win over six furlongs.
Ocean Sheridan is the second winner for Tiger Hill mare Endless Night, a German
bred sibling to four stakes-winners headed by Group II winners Eagle Rise and
Eye of the Tiger.
Ocean Sheridan is the ninth Northern Hemisphere winner for Starspangledbanner
from 21 runners, while in Australia he has had one runner, which is two
year-old colt Of the Brave, a stakes-winner at Caulfield on debut.
Starspangledbanner is serving 50 mares at Rosemont Stud this spring and will return
to Coolmore Ireland for the 2015 breeding season.
