Australian Champion First Season Sire I am Invincible added another promising
metropolitan winner to his tally when the Kris Lees trained Powerline saluted
at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.
Third on debut at the start of the month before breaking his maiden at
Newcastle on October 18, Powerline continued his rapid rate of improvement to
snare a two length win in the restricted 1200 metre sprint for three year-olds.
He led throughout and despite laying out near the turn skipped clear to win
with authority.
A $75,000 Magic Millions purchase for Power Thoroughbreds from the Yarraman Park
draft, Powerline is the fourth winner for stakes-placed Graphite Lass, who was
covered again by I Am Invincible last spring.
Fully booked at Yarraman Park, I Am Invincible is leading the Second Season Sires list by winners.
