The countdown is on for Victoria's most unique and innovative race, the $200,000 Magic Millions 2YO Clockwise Classic (1000m).

To be run at Ballarat on Cup Day on November 22, the clockwise event for two-year-olds will be contested for the third time at the inaugural stand alone Saturday meeting.

The first of the clockwise jump outs to qualify for the race was held late last week with the recent Bendigo winner Prompt Return scoring in good fashion for trainer Danny O'Brien.

BeneteauThe son of Beneteau edged out the promising Andrew Noblet trained Old Trieste by a long neck in a six horse heat. Both horses are entered for Saturday's Group Three Maribynong Plate at Flemington.

All youngsters to run in the Clockwise Classic will need to have trialled or raced in the clockwise direction to Stewards' satisfaction. The final set of Ballarat jump outs will be held on November 11.

The Clockwise Classic will be run in conjunction with the $100,000 Magic Millions Ballarat 3YO Classic, also run exclusively for Magic Millions Yearling Sale graduates paid up to the race series.
Last year's 3YO feature was won by Anatina, who subsequently was a stakes winner and close Group One runner-up in Sydney's The Championships.

In addition to the rich prizemoney on offer, Magic Millions is delighted to announce a $12,500 trainer's bonus will be awarded to any trainer who can supply the winners of both races on the day.

The Ballarat trainer's bonus comprises a $5,000 Hygain Feed Voucher, complimentary VOBIS Gold and Magic Millions Race Series Nominations and a trip to the 2015 Gold Coast Yearling Sale.

Nominations for the Magic Millions Ballarat 2YO Clockwise Classic and Ballarat 3YO Classic close at 12pm (AEDT) on Monday November 17.

Meanwhile, Magic Millions is pleased to announce an important Queensland lead up to the $2 million Jeep Magic Millions 2YO Classic now has a rich bonus attached.

A $50,000 bonus will be paid to the winner of the feature 2YO race at Toowoomba on New Year's Eve if that horse is paid up to the MM Race Series.

The Toowoomba feature is complimented by the traditional 2YO and 3YO lead ups at Wyong on December 18 with $300,000 of prizemoney to be won.
