Keeneland's four annual sales feature premier bloodstock that is the source of
success around the world, and Australasian horsemen often attend its November
Breeding Stock and January Sales to strengthen their breeding operations.
One example of the far-reaching impact of the Keeneland sales is
Australian-bred Trust In A Gust, winner of the 2014 Group I MRC Sir Rupert
Clarke Stakes and Group I MRC Toorak Handicap at Caulfield.
Trust In A Gust is out of the regally bred Storm Cat mare Subtle Breeze (USA),
who sold for $140,000 to Hancock Quality Bloodstock at Keeneland's 2007 November
Sale.
Keeneland takes great pride in its connection to Australasia and its
relationship with the horsemen of the region. Keeneland sponsors the Gimcrack
Stakes for 2-year-old fillies at Royal Randwick.
Australasian buyers can attend both the 2015 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling
Sale (Jan. 7-13) and Keeneland's January Sale (Jan. 12-15).
