Soldi Domani Captures The Gold Edition Plate

Mark Smith - Saturday December 13

Despite winning just one race, a 1350 metre handicap at Doomben, Soldi Domani was considered promising enough by his trainer Bryan Dais to take to Melbourne for the spring.

He finished down the track in Rich Enuff's Group III Caulfield Guineas Prelude and was promptly put on the float back home.

It proved a winning move. The 3yo son of Keep The Faith opened his stakes account in Saturday's Listed Belvedere Gold Edition Plate (1200m) at Doomben.

Ridden by Larry Cassidy, Soldi Domani defeated favourite She's Miss Devine (Show a Heart) by 2 ¼-lengths with Stroak (Real Saga) back in third.

Bred by Kevin Sheedy, Soldi Domani was purchased by Craig Morrissey for $52,500 from the Waylon J Stud draft at the 2013 Magic Millions Gold Coast Horses In Training Sale.

He is the first and to date only foal of the Bel Esprit mare Bel Jadore who failed to win in 12 starts.

Bel Jadore's dam Parisianna is an unraced daughter of Highest Honour. She is a sister to Parthe a 9-time winner in Denmark and Norway including the Listed Oslo Cup.

Soldi Domani becomes the sixth stakes-winner for Keep The Faith (Sunday Silence) who stands at Greta West Stud for a fee of $4,400.
