Magic Contender for Saga

Media Release - Sunday December 21
GLENLOGAN PARK'S progressive young stallion Real Saga unearthed yet another genuine Magic Millions 2YO Classic contender when the Liam Birchley filly Saga Of The Storm powered home to claim victory at Doomben yesterday.

Saga of the Storm - TracksideHeading up a Glenlogan Park bred trifecta, Saga Of the Storm defeated fellow Real Saga youngster, Real Storm, who was on debut, whilst progressive Rothesay colt In His Stride took out 3rd placing with an eye-catching performance after having no luck in running.

A Glenlogan Park whitewash – with the first 3 across the line in the big QTIS race at Doomben on Saturday all being by the farm's stallions.

Trainer Liam Birchley will now plot his path towards the $2 million Magic Millions Classic and may very well back her up in one week's time.

"If she pulls up well then she may back-up next Saturday (in the G3 BJ McLachlan Stakes)," Liam indicated. "I think we will probably put the blinkers on her as well as the breed seem to really appreciate them.

"She is a high class filly and we know she is going to be strong at the end of a fast run 1200m.

"She is pretty progressive and I am sure she will develop into a really good horse with time."

Saga Of the Storm was bought from the draft of Glenlogan Park Magic Millions in January of 2014, where she was knocked down for $85,000.

With only two full crops to have raced, Real Saga has already sired a Magic Millions winner in Real Surreal and he will have an absolute genuine chance to make it 2 out of 3 years when Saga Of The Storm represents him in early January.
