The
juvenile maiden at Ballarat on Sunday was won in impressive style by I Am
Invincible filly Ramlah, an $85,000 Inglis Easter Session II purchase from the Three
Bridges Thoroughbreds draft.
Prepared by David Hayes and Tom Dabernig, Ramlah was partnered by Michael
Walker and was far too good in coasting home to win the 1000 metre scamper by two
lengths.
"She gives me a really nice feel. I think the older she gets, the better
she's going to get as well," said Walker.
"She just does everything you ask. She's really professional. I think
she's got a bright future."
Ramlah runs for Shadwell Australia and is the fifth winner from five foals to
race from Desert Slew, a half-sister to stakes-placed Top Slice and Bull
Market.
She is the sixth Australian two year-old winner this season for I Am Invincible,
who is second to only Exceed and Excel on the score of individual two year-old
winners.
