Duporth Winner in Hong Kong

Tara Madgwick - Monday January 19
The word at the recent Magic Millions sales on the Gold Coast was that trainers in Hong Kong are quite favourable to the Duporth youngsters and yesterdays Sha Tin winner Dashing Fellow, will only add to the son of Red Ransom's emerging reputation up north.

Dashing Fellow - Grant CourtneyNever further back than fourth in five previous runs, Dashing Fellow scored a well-deserved neck win over 1400 metres for the John Moore stable with Joao Moreira on board.

A $160,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Kitchwin Hills draft for George Moore Bloodstock, Dashing Fellow is a half to stakes-winner Aeronautical, hailing from the stakes placed Fusaichi Pegasus (USA) mare Moon Fever.

Covered again by Duporth last spring, Moon Fever is a sibling to Group I winning Centaine mare Stella Cadente from the family of Group I stars Bint Marscay, Filante and company.

Duporth is looking toward a big two year old season with one of the favourites in this year's Golden Slipper in Paceman.

After being put out following his win on debut, Paceman is set to return shortly for Peter and Paul Snowden.

Duporth also has promising 2yo's set to launch their careers amongst others in Cottesmore for Robert Smerdon, Gone To Paris for Paul Perry, Dee Nine Elle for Tony Gollan and the Inglis Classic bound Stick With Me who was impressive in running fast time when winning on debut for Brett Cavanaugh.
