Fairway
Thoroughbreds have bred a lot of good horses, but their colours were carried to
victory at Wyong on Sunday by a Redoute's Choice filly purchased from Inglis Easter
for $900,000.
Prepared by Gerald Ryan, three year-old filly Apprise dashed away to win the
1200 metre maiden by three lengths at her second start.
Purchased by James Harron Bloodstock from the Kitchwin Hills draft, Apprise is
the second foal and first winner for brilliant Group II winning Testa Rossa
mare Vormista, who was also second in three Group I sprints.
Kitchwin Hills sold another Redoute's Choice filly from Vormista at Inglis
Easter last year to Shadwell Australia for $600,000.
Named Reemah and trained by David Hayes and Tom Dabernig, she won a trial at
Sandown two weeks ago, so might give Vormista another winner sooner rather than
later.
Kitchwin Hills will offer a Fastnet Rock colt from Vormista at the 2015 Inglis
Australian Easter Yearling Sale as Lot 245.
Vormista has a filly foal to follow by All Too Hard and was covered by I Am
Invincible last spring.
