Well beaten in her previous two starts at Group 1 level in
Sydney, the Nigel Blackiston-trained Suavito broke through at the highest level
on home soil when defeating Smokin' Joey and Dissident in Saturday's $400,000
Group 1 Italktravel Futurity Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield.

The daughter of Thorn Park was making her first start since
winning her first two stakes races towards the end of last year, the Group III
Eliza Park International Stakes and Group II Momentum Energy Stakes (2000m).
I knew the mare was going really well this time in she's
grown an got stronger she had two nice easy trials at Flemington and it was the
perfect race to try at weight-for-age.
She won a Group two and Group three in the spring and to
come back a Group 1 first-up – fantastic.
Ian (part-owner Ian Lewis) found her in New Zealand she was
passed in at Karaka and we offered too lease her with the option to purchase at
$65,000 which we jumped at, she's a valuable mare now.
Suavito takes her overall record to 6 wins, 4 seconds and 3
thirds from 16 starts for earnings of $755,550.
Bred by IDL Racing, Suavito is the first foal of the unraced
High Chaparral (IRE) mare Queen Cha Cha a half-sister to the multiple Group II
placed Pinot Grigio (O'Reilly).
Queen Cha Cha's dam Chablis (Kingmambo) is a half-sister to
Woman in White, the dam of Specter (Nadeem) winner of the Listed VRC Henry
Bucks Stakes.
Queen Cha Cha has a 3yo Darci Brahma filly named Our Dramha
Queen and a 2yo colt by Batchelor Duke (USA). She missed to Mastercraftsman
(IRE) in 2012 and foaled a filly to that stallion last spring. She was bred back to Thorn Park's 5-time Group I winning son Ocean park last year. .
