Ever since Fast 'N' Famous brought in the New Year with a Group I Railway Stakes victory by In Style, the Jindera Park stallion has been well and truly on fire.
Averaging a winner every four days, Fast 'N' Famous has been represented by 16 winners since the start of the year with eight of his sons and daughters considered high quality enough to contest stakes winners.
Amongst that tally is the Gr.1 winner In Style, the Gr.3 winning Singapore star filly Kiwi Karma, the Gr.3 runner-up Attention Seeker and the Listed second Arrow In The Sand.
And the best is still to come with several of his Australian runners displaying considerable promise - such as Princefamous and Chiquada who provided their in-form sire with a two state metropolitan double on Wednesday.
Having won his first two in convincing fashion, the Peter & Paul Snowden trained Princefamous was understandably favourite at Canterbury - despite the fact that he was facing rises in both class and distance.
However none of that mattered as Princefamous took an early lead, always travelling like the winner and giving nothing else a chance as he raced away to an impressive 3 3/4 length victory.
In doing so he excited jockey Hugh Bowman who admitted that a 200m rise in journey had concerned him.
"But he settled well in front and when I balanced him up in the straight he gave a good kick and was never in doubt."
"I was impressed today, he has got a bit of quality and he is an impressive type. He may be real genuine carnival contender."
Peter Snowden was also delighted.
"Taking on the older horses over 1300m was a bit of a risk for him so it was a strong win today. He set up a good pace and kicked off it."
"He is building in confidence now and has definitely gone up another notch. He has upside this horse."
Later in the day Chiquada was in winning form at Sandown, travelling nicely on pace for Michael Dee and showing great heart to wear the leader down before drawing clear to win by a half length with plenty in hand.
"It was a very tough win," Dee reported. "She had to do a lot of work early and she only got outside the leader just rounding the corner. I just had to give her a breather and she was strong to the line."
The winner of five (three in city class) of her 21 starts, Chiquada is one of Fast 'N' Famous' 24 Australian winners from just 31 winners. And his overall statistics are impressive too - 87 of his 137 runners being winners , an excellent strike rate of 63.5%.
