Undefeated in 2015, Carpe Diem enters this year's Run for the Roses as one of the favorites under the tutelage of trainer Todd Pletcher, who won the 2010 Kentucky Derby with WinStar's Super Saver.
Carpe Diem began his 3-year-old campaign in March with a five-length win in the $350,000 Tampa Bay Derby (G2), and followed it up with a three-length victory in the $1 million Blue Grass. Last year at two, Carpe Diem won his debut at Saratoga in September before capturing the $500,000 Breeders' Futurity S. (G1) at Keeneland by 6 ¼ lengths in just his second start.
