Stryker Yearlings Popular at VOBIS Gold

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday April 21
With a flurry of smart early winners and stakes performers to his credit, Three Bridges Thoroughbreds foundation sire Stryker proved popular at the 2015 VOBIS Gold Yearling Sale with all 10 of his yearlings offered being sold.

The Stryker yearlings were bought by some great judges and averaged $21,300, a sum well above the overall sale average of $12,650 which was for all sessions combined, putting him fourth on the overall sire averages.

Top seller was this eye-catching grey filly from Miss Cleopatra that made $47,000 for Three Bridges Thoroughbreds when bought by Wendy Kelly Racing.

She is the first foal of Miss Cleopatra, who comes from the family of Flemington stakes-winner Emmalene and Group I winners Southern Lord and Packing Winner.

Miss Cleopatra was one of 118 mares covered last spring by Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Unencumbered in his first season at Three Bridges.
