Recently
relocated from Widden Stud to Scenic Lodge in Western Australia, Snippetson
added a new stakes-winner to his tally on ANZAC day when two year-old filly My
Poppette took out the Listed VRC Anzac Day Stakes at Flemington.
First and second at her only two previous runs, the Colin and Cindy Alderson
trained filly charged home to take the 1400 metre contest by a length as equal
favourite.
Bred and retained to race by the Alderson family, My Poppette is the first
winner for Brompton's Choice, an unraced half-sister by Choisir to the dam of
smart galloper Neo, who was also a stakes-winner on Saturday when taking out
the Listed Prime Minister's Cup at the Gold Coast.
From the family of Group I winner Delago Brom, Brompton's Choice had a colt by
Dalakhani (IRE) last year and is in foal to Magnus.
My Poppette is the eighth stakes-winner for Snippetson, who will be a very
popular addition to the WA sire ranks standing at a fee of $7,150 inc GST.
