Newgate Farm Announce 2015 Fees

Media Release - Monday April 27
Newgate Farm have released fees for their star studded 2015 roster with Wandjina's fee dependent on his Royal Ascot performance.

Newgate Farm is delighted to announce its 2015 stallion roster featuring the three most exciting first season sires retiring to the Hunter Valley this season in Dissident, Wandjina, and Deep Field.

"We are excited to present our all-star stallion roster for the 2015 breeding season," said managing director Henry Field.

"Heading into the new season we are extremely proud of how our foundation sire Foxwedge is placed with his first crop set to hit the racetrack, and we now look forward to the first foals of young guns Eurozone, Sizzling and The Factor."

DissidentDISSIDENT, the dominant horse of the year, enters stud at $35,000 + GST after winning five Group 1 races and racing at the very top for the entirety of his exceptional career. A stunning son of leading sire Sebring, Dissident is a likely contender for the Australian Horse of the Year crown.

WANDJINA was born for brilliance. Rated the fastest 2yo in Gai Waterhouse's stable of his year, so much so that the blue-blooded son of Snitzel started as favourite in the Breeders Plate. He has been a revelation at three and will retire after the Diamond Jubilee at Royal Ascot. Wandjina will stand for $30,000 + GST or $40,000 + GST if he wins at Ascot. In either scenario he represents tremendous value.

DEEP FIELD is his father's son, described by many as Northern Meteor reincarnated. This record breaking colt is one of the fastest horses to enter stud in recent memory, setting a track record, a class record on debut, and winning his first five races straight by a combined margin of 24 lengths. Possessing a powerful family and physique, Deep Field enters stud at $20,000 + GST.

FOXWEDGE, Fastnet Rock's highest rated son will remain this season at a fee of $25,000 + GST. His first crop yearlings have impressed the country's best judges and subsequently his cubs have made their way into every single one of Australia's leading stables at an average price that is more than six times his service fee. If his first yearlings are any indication, Foxwdege is going to make a big impact at stud!

THE FACTOR, the fastest shuttle stallion in Australia, is our lone international on the roster and that is not by mistake. The fastest son of internationally significant sire War Front, The Factor is so fast we could not live without him. He was handpicked for the Australian market due to his record breaking speed, suitable pedigree and tremendous physique. You can't teach speed, you can only inherit it and he will stand his second season for $15,000 + GST.

SIZZLING, enters his second season at $15,000 + GST. He is all Snitzel speed, a super fast pre -Christmas two-year-oldwho had the class, precocity and constitution to win five races in his juvenile year including the Group 1 TJ Smith. Everybody wants a piece of Sizzling and his family, his full brother selling for $2.2 million at the 2015 Easter Yearling Sale a clear indication of the commercial appeal of his pedigree and performance.

EUROZONE, the Giant Slayer, will remain at a fee of $12,500 + GST this season. Just last season this highly talented son of Northern Meteor put the likes of Dissident, Criterion and Shamus Award to the sword in feature carnival races. An unbeaten juvenile and a horse with genuine high level Group 1 ability, Eurozone represents unprecedented value, a fact not missed by the market as he covered 167 mares in 2014.
