A $40,000 Inglis Classic Summer Book Sale purchase from the Yarraman Park draft, the Sean Tarry trained daughter of Teofilo (IRE) showed her class when beating older rivals to win over 2000 metres by three lengths and has won three of nine starts.
She runs for Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa's Al Adiyaat South Africa (Pty) Ltd and carries his yellow and blue colours.
Foaled and raised at Yarraman Park for Pedrille Thoroughbreds, Tamaanee is the first winner for Cangino, a winning half-sister to Champion Australian First Season Sire, I Am Invincible from the famed Mamzelle Pedrille family that has produced numerous stakes-winners including Group I winner Diamond Drille and Group II winner O'Lonhro.
Cangino has a yearling filly and weanling filly to follow by Dream Ahead (USA) and was covered last spring by Denman.
Her weanling filly by Dream Ahead will be offered by Yarraman Park as Lot 61 in the Platinum session for youngsters with x-rays.
"She's a very nice, racy athletic filly and is only being sold because her breeder Ray Gall has so many other young horses getting ready to go into work," said Harry Mitchell.
