Wednesday Winners for Onemorenomore

Tara Madgwick - Thursday May 21

Final Decision appreciated the drop back from Group III company to win the PKF Handicap (1300m) at Randwick on Wednesday.

The Onemorenomore gelding motored home from the back half of the field to defeat Electrifyin' (Redoute's Choice) by a short-neck.

"He ran a nice fourth in the Hawkesbury Guineas and was suited coming back from the mile," trainer Jason Coyle said. "He had no cover at Rosehill and over-raced so we were pretty confident today."

OnemorenomoreFinal Decision has been nominated for the G1 Queensland Derby but will stay in Sydney.

"There's plenty of upside to this horse," Coyle said. "But, for the time being, we will just take him through the grades."

A Kembla Grange maiden winner in November, he has earned over $80,000 including BOBS incentives worth $15,000.

Winning jockey Tye Agland was also impressed with the performance. "We were caught three wide last time so I snagged back and let him settle. We had the last crack and it was a good win."

Onemorenomore gave Coyle his first Group 1 success in the 2009 Champagne Stakes at Randwick. He owns Wiki Wai and the mare has a rising two year-old colt by Onemorenomore and is back in foal to him on an October cover last year

One More Magic doubled up for Onemorenomore when she landed a betting move at Ipswich on Wednesday.

The Kim Craft trained filly was one of the best-backed runners during the meeting, firming from $4.80 to start favourite at $3.80 before winning the Sirromet Hcp (1200m). She missed the jump but jockey Jason Taylor took all the short-cuts to score by a half-length from Roxy Rhythm.

Craft revealed One More Magic had won a Gold Coast barrier trial in March but in three runs since had little luck. "She ran a good race in the Ken Russell Memorial from a wide barrier last time and was down in class today," Craft said. "She's nominated for the (Group 1) J J Atkins Stakes but is unlikely to run.

Vinery will stand Onemorenomore (Red Ransom) for a $6,600 (inc gst) fee in 2015.
