A
regular shuttler to Blue Gum Farm in Victoria from Coolmore Ireland, Royal Ascot
legend Canford Cliffs (IRE) sired his third winner in the UK overnight.
The Richard Hannon-trained filly Bournemouth Belle scored by a length and
three-quarters in the six furlong maiden at Goodwood as favourite at her second start.
"BOURNEMOUTH BELLE … stayed on best inside the final furlong to win
comfortably. She had run well over 5f on debut but was suited by this extra
furlong and looks to be going the right way," commented the Racing Post.
Bournemouth Belle is the first winner for Ellbeedee, a half-sister by Dalakhani
to Group II winner Uncharted Haven.
Canford Cliffs has his first two year-old runners in Australia in the new season
and is slated to return to Blue Gum Farm this spring at a fee of $13,750.
