First Winner for Cape Blanco

Cape Blanco (IRE) had his first yearlings sell in Australasia earlier this year following his stint at Cambridge Stud in New Zealand and Galileo's multiple Group I winning son is reported to have sired his first winner last weekend in Russia.

Cape BlancoCape Victory was bred in the US by Tada Nobutaka out of Alegendinmyownmind, a daughter of Cape Cross and Oaks placegetter Midnight Line.

She was sold at last year's Fasig-Tipton July Yearling Sale for $40,000 and subsequently exported to Russia.

Cape Blanco covered some very good mares at Cambridge and had 44 yearlings sell here this year across all sales averaging over $90,000 with a top seller of $450,000. Click here to see his yearlings.

He is now at stud in Japan after starting his career with Coolmore's US base at Ashford Stud in Kentucky.
