Young
Arrowfield Stud based sire All American shuttled to North America for one
season in 2011 and that small crop of foals are now three year-olds and include
America Mon Amie, who won the $75,000 Northbound Pride Oaks at Canterbury Downs
on Sunday.
Prepared by Anthony Granitz, America Mon Amie was having her fourth start in a
race after breaking her maiden last start at Arlington.
She powered home from back in the field to win the one mile contest on turf by
three-quarters of a length.
America Mon Amie is the first winner for her stakes-winning dam Si Si Mon Amie,
a daughter of the Mr Greeley sire El Corredor.
America Mon Amie is the second worldwide stakes-winner for All American joining
the Australian performer Bachman and is one of four US winners from nine
runners for the Group I winning son of Red Ransom (USA).
All American stands at the reduced fee of $11,000.
