Tenth Winner for Beneteau – Get in the Queue

Tara Madgwick - Thursday June 25
Ill-fated Beneteau posted his tenth Australian winner of the season on Thursday when Tatoosh resumed from a spell to win at Wyong, so if you backed Beneteau to be leading first season sire by winners you'd be starting think about a collect.

BeneteauTrained by Paul Perry, the two year-old gelding was having his second start and took the 1200 metre maiden by a long neck.

Passed in at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, Tatoosh is the second winner for winning Spinning World (USA) mare Miss Columbus, who comes from the family of eight-time Group I winner Intergaze.

With 10 individual Australian winners Beneteau leads the first season sires by winners with a margin of four, so with just over a month to go until the end of the season if you've had a bet on him at the $8 that was offered in initial markets last year you'd be entitled to be getting ready to collect.

Below is the market offered in August last year with the division leader by earnings, Hinchinbrook given out at odds of $15.
