Swettenham
Stud's young shuttler Equiano (Fr) featured overnight in France when his
progressive Italian trained two year-old Fly on the Night took out the Group
III Prix du Bois at Chantilly.
An easy winner at her first two starts in Italy including a Listed win, she
dashed away to take the five furlong sprint by more than a length to go three
for three.
Fly on the Night is the first winner for Midnight M, a three-quarter sister by
Green Desert to Group III winner Miss Anabaa.
Fly on the Night is one of two Northern Hemisphere stakes-winners for Royal Ascot
hero Equiano, who also had a winning double at Windsor with success for two
year-old filly Belvoir Bay and three year-old filly Quite a Story.
The oldest Australian progeny of Equiano are two year-olds and he is due back
to Swettenham Stud this spring at a fee of $13,750.
