Italian classic winner Crackerjack King will stand his first season at stud in South Australia in 2015.
The son of Shamardal has been purchased by Southern Cross Breeding and Racing in a private negotiation.
A half-brother to Group I winners Jakkalberry, who is at stud in New Zealand, and Almutawakel, Crackerjack King won seven of his 14 races, notably the Group I Premio Presidente della Repubblica (2000m) and the Group II Derby Italiano (2200m) where subsequent Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner Danedream finished third.
Imported to Australia where he was trained by David Hayes and Tom Dabernig, his best effort from four starts a third place finish in the Group I Underwood Stakes last year behind Foreteller and Happy Trails.
The seven-year-old will stand at Oakside Park, Hahndorf, for a fee of $4,000
