Stubbins scored for Rip Van Winkle, whose first New Zealand-conceived offspring are two-year-olds this season, when the three-year-old filly won the 3&4YO Fillies Maiden over a mile and a half at Epsom.

In Ireland, Glamorous Approach made a winning debut in a 7 1/2-furlong maiden at Tipperary. Bred and trained by Jim Bolger, Glamorous Approach is a daughter of New Approach.
In France, the Andre Fabre-trained Gherdaiya was impressive winning the Prix Nonant le Pin on debut over 1400m at Deauville for Al Shaqab Racing.
A €720,000 Deauville August yearling, Gherdaiya is a daughter of Shamardal and a sister to English Group winner French Navy.
In the provinces, Astrolabo, a two-year-old daughter of Astronomer Royal, ran out a comfortable winner of the 1400m claimer at Dax.
Former Windsor Park Stud stallion Mastercraftsman was represented at Deauville by Slatina, who scored over 3000m, and at Fairyhouse in Ireland on Wednesday where Cradle Mountain, a half-brother to Lexus Stakes winner Ruscello, scored over a mile and a quarter.
