One to watch - Pakenham

Darryl Sherer - Friday July 3

A daughter of a two-year-old Group I winner and from the same family as the great Secretariat made a winning start on Friday.

Dollars Not Sense was making her debut in the 3YO Maiden over 1380m on the synthetic surface at Pakenham. Despite showing  signs of inexperience once balanced up in the home straight she hit the line strongly to score narrowly.

Dollars Not Sense resembles her sire Onemorenomore in colour and markings.

Winner of the Group I Champagne Stakes at two, the son of Red Ransom retired to Vinery Stud in 2010.

His best winner to date is the Group III Gucci Stakes winner Onemorezeta with three other stakes performers.

All of Onemorenomore's stakes horses are out of mares carrying Danzig and Dollars Not Sense is bred similarly with her dam by Grand Lodge.

Purchased for $12,000 as a yearling at the 2013 Magic Millions National Sale on the Gold Coast, Dollars Not Sense is a half-sister to South African Group I winner Strategic News (Strategic) and Brisbane winners Heater (Casino Prince) and Stub (Snitzel).

Their dam Sensuous is a half-sister to juvenile Group winners De France (Air de France) and Whistler (Air de France) and traces directly to Somethingroyal (Princequillo), the dam of champion Secretariat, Sir Gaylord and Syrian Sea.

Onemorenomore, pictured below, is advertised at $6,600 incl GST at Vinery Stud in 2015.
