Following on from a very successful Brisbane Winter Carnival with winners like Hot Snitzel (Group I BTC Cup), Charlie Boy (Group I BRC Sprint & 2nd Group I Doomben 10,000) and Dothraki (Group III Tattersall's 150th Anniversary Stakes) the winners have continued to flow for the Triple Crown Syndications team.
Diamond Fever was most impressive when claiming victory at only her second start last Saturday, then Kwanza and Gold Symphony produced a winning double at Mornington on Sunday for Triple Crown Syndications.
Making his debut over 1200m for Peter Moody and his Triple Crown owners, 2yo Gold Symphony (Reward For Effort - Tzaress) was dominant to the line, beating home his closest rival by 2 lengths on the rain affected track.
"He did it the hard way in covering a bit of extra ground in the run and still proved too strong for the field at the end" Moody reported.
"We couldn't have been more impressed with the way the horse responded when Luke (Nolen) asked him for an effort with 400m to go".
Moody commented that the youngster will take great benefit from the experience and is looking forward to getting him back to the track in the coming weeks.
Gold Symphony was selected by Chris and Michael Ward of Triple Crown and purchased from the Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale.
He opened his prizemoney account in style adding a Super VOBIS Bonus to his first place earnings.
Only a couple of hours later Kwanza (Snitzel - Macedon Lady) carried the prominent red silks to the winners circle again at Mornington, winning decisively over 1500m with Craig Newitt on board.
Also purchased at the Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale by the Ward brothers, Kwanza took his record to three wins and Price commented that he's looking forward to frequenting the winners stall with the son of Snitzel throughout this preparation.
Making a sustained run from mid field and digging deep in the final stages to hold off second place getter, One Inch Punch, Newitt said he was very pleased with Kwanza's effort and confident of a successful campaign for the 4yo.
