Riflescope progressed from his Royal Ascot form to land Friday's Listed Dragon Stakes (5 fur) at Sandown Park for juveniles and give Raven's Pass his 10th stakes winner.
Coming from off the early speed, Riflescope ran on strongly under James Doyle to overpower Ejaazah (Acclamation) and score by one length.
Fourth at the Royal meeting at his previous start, Riflescope is the first foal to race out of the winning Selkirk mare Red Intrigue, a sister to stakes winner Red Liaison and half-sister to multiple Group winner Redstone Dancer.
Winner of the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes and Breeders' Cup Classic, Raven's Pass (Elusive Quality) is also the sire in 2015 of French Group III winner Kataniya and Listed winner Greg Pass.
The other Listed contest on the card went to Tha'Ir, the five-year-old son of New Approach leading all the way to win the Gala Stakes over a mile and a quarter.
Tha'Ir defeated the odds-on favourite Provenance (Galileo) by 2 1/2-lengths and trainer Saeed bin Suroor indicated the Group II York Stakes at the end of the month the next likely target for the winner.
