Accomplished back in winning form

Media Release - Sunday July 5

Useful sprinter Accomplished has returned to form in Singapore with victory in a slick time.

Ridden by apprentice Joseph See, Accomplished was second-up from a six-month spell and showed plenty of determination to come out tops in a thrilling four-way finish to the $125,000 Open Handicap race over 1400m at Kranji on Friday.

A brother to top miler Super Gold, Accomplished was considered as one of Sam Chua's better horses, scoring all his previous five wins for the ex-Kranji trainer.

He was then moved to the yard of Tan Hor Khoon after Chua had to give up training in March due to bankruptcy.

Accomplished broke smartly on Friday and was able to get into a good position behind the strong pace set by Goodman.

Accomplished and Trudeau came with their challenge in the home straight, both drifting across the track towards the stands side.

Goodman stayed on bravely however Accomplished kept coming and scored by a neck from a fast-finishing Gold Rutile with Goodman a nose away in third.

The winning time for the 1400m on the Long Course was 1: 22.04.

The winning trainer said he was pleasantly surprised at the win.

"I did not expect him to win this race at all," Tan said.

"It was a strong field that he was running against and I was just hoping for a good run from him.

"He will be running again on July 26 in a 1800m race."

With this latest win, the Australian-bred son of Golden Snake took his stakes to around $325,000 for the Happy Winning stable.
