Eighth Winner for Rothesay

Mark Smith - Sunday July 5
Glenlogan Park stallion Rothesay moved to within two winners of frontrunner Beneteau for number of first crop winners when the Desleigh Forster-trained Too Good To Refuse opened his winning account in a 1200 metre maiden at Beaudesert on Sunday.

Ridden by Robbie Fradd, Too Good To Refuse ran out an easy two length winner over Aussie Jack (Spinning World) with Ralph The Dragon (Hidden Dragon) a neck back in third.

The chestnut colt was making his first start since finishing second at the Gold Coast back in February.

Passed in short of his $50,000 reserve at the 2014 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling sale, Too Good To Refuse (pictured as a yearling) is the third foal and second winner out of the winning Dodge mare Alyssa Jean a half-sister to stakes-winners War Of The Worlds and Conquered Dreams.

Too Good To Refuse becomes the eighth individual winner from the first crop of Fastnet Rock's Group II winning son Rothesay who stands the forthcoming season at Glenlogan Park Stud for a fee of $11000.
