In an effort to get to know Australian breeders, Spendthrift Australia is currently running a promotional naming contest on one of the farm's top yearlings, with free 2015 stallion seasons to Hampton Court and Jimmy Creed (US) to be awarded to the winner and runner-up of the contest, with entries closing this Friday July 31st.

The yearling Spendthrift Australia is seeking a name for is a Northern Meteor colt the farm purchased from the Inglis Australian Easter yearling sale in April for $350,000.

Northern Meteor colt from Rockin' Babe

The colt hails out of the Rock of Gibraltar mare Rockin Babe, a three-quarter sister to Hong Kong standout Hidden Dragon, half-sister to Australian Group 3 winner and Group producer Tahni Girl, and Group 2 winner Just Dancing.
