Another
day and another winner for Blue Gum Farm shuttler Canford Cliffs (IRE), who put
his 17th winner on the board overnight in the UK with a Beverley win
for Garden World.
The two year-old filly scored by half a length over five furlongs at her second
start for the Nigel Tinkler stable.
Garden World is the second winner for Bahamian Bounty mare Elizabeth Swann, who
comes from the family of Group I winner Braashee.
Canford Cliffs is making all the running on the leading first season sire by
winners list for UK/Ireland and is headed back to Australia this spring to Blue
Gum Farm in Victoria at a fee of $13,750.
A five-time Group I winner, Canford Cliffs will have his first runners here
next season.
He covered 83 mares in Australia last year and among those mares was Black
Caviar and All Too Hard's dam Helsinge, who is due to foal to the promising
young sire later this spring.
