Epsom
Derby winner Pour Moi (IRE), who shuttled to Windsor Park Stud in New Zealand
for two seasons, has put his first winner on the board overnight in Ireland
with a victory for two year-old filly Only Mine.
The Joseph Murphy trained filly was favourite for the six furlong maiden having
finished second at her previous start in the Group III Grangecon Stakes to highly
rated Canford Cliffs filly Most Beautiful.
She dashed away to win by a length and a half.
Only Mine was an 80,000 euro purchase from the Goffs Orby Sale and is the
fourth winner for Group III winning Rock of Gibraltar mare Truly Mine.
The oldest NZ bred progeny by Pour Moi have just turned two and he had 29
yearlings sell this year at an average of around $70,000, his top seller a colt
from Blushful that made $230,000 at the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale when
bought by McEvoy Mitchell Racing.
A son of ill-fated Montjeu, Pour Moi stood this year at Coolmore Ireland at a fee of 12,500 euros.
