Ten members of the first North American-bred crop of Bullet Train (GB) have been catalogued for auction at the 2015 Keeneland September Yearling Sale, due to take place between September 14-26.
Illustrating the calibre of North American-based broodmares sent to Bullet Train in his three Kentucky breeding seasons to date is the fact that five Lots have been produced by black-type performers, most notably Enjoy — a US Grade 1 Milady Breeders' Cup Handicap runner-up.
Other highlights of the consignment include a filly from the family of Group 1 AJC The Metropolitan winner Glencadem Gold (by Refuse To Bend), and another filly very closely related to last week's Group 1 Yorkshire Oaks winner Pleascach (by Teofilo).
The Bullet Train draft assembled for next month's Keeneland September Yearling Sale comprises of six colts and four fillies, the first to go under the hammer as Hip #2339 in Session 8 of 12.
Bullet Train recently arrived back at Bowness Stud, Young, for his third Australian covering season. The Group 3 winning three-quarter brother to champions Frankel and Noble Mission served 268 mares in his first two visits, his initial domestic crop of 2014 numbering 115 foals.
