Ill-fated
Street Cry (IRE) is without his star colt Pride of Dubai this spring due to
injury, but may have a suitable replacement with this impressive winner at
Wyong on Sunday.
Second to Pride of Dubai in the Group I ATC Sires Produce Stakes before heading
for a spell, the Hawkes Racing trained Rageese was fourth in the Listed ATC
Rosebud Stakes when resuming from a spell.
With that run under his belt, the talented colt was sent out a short priced favourite
to break his maiden and did so in dominant fashion, forging clear to win over
1350 metres by nearly two lengths.
Connections have announced the Group I ATC Golden Rose on September 12 comes

A homebred for Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, as was Pride of Dubai, before
his sale as a stallion prospect to Coolmore and partners, Rageese is the first
winner for Rabsha, a half-sister by Dehere (USA) to the Sheikh's UAE Oaks
winner Raihana.
Rabsha is a great-grand-daughter of champion mare Emancipation, so Rageese
comes from a big family with high expectation.
Rabsha was sent across to New Zealand last year to visit champion sire O'Reilly.
