Stakes Goals for Tickets Colt

Tara Madgwick - Monday August 31
Promising Australian bred Tickets three-year-old Mr Conductor is ready to kick off his spring campaign this weekend in New Zealand.

"He goes to the Wanganui Guineas on Saturday – we're very happy with him," said Johno Benner, who trains the colt with his partner Hollie Wynyard.

TicketsMr Conductor won at his second start at Awapuni as a two-year-old and he was turned out after finishing fourth in the Listed Castletown Stakes.

He has had trial outings at Foxton and Taupo to ready him for this weekend's test.

"He still does a bit wrong, but he's a talented horse with any amount of ability and he's already showed he can get around Wanganui," Benner said.

Mr Conductor was a very successful pinhook, bought out of the Inglis Australian Select Weanling Sale from the Lomar Park draft for just $10,000 by renowned judge Paul Willetts and then re-offered at the NZB Select Yearling Sale by Ainsley Downs Stud fetching $50,000.

Mr Conductor is from stakes-winning proven producer Misty Dawn, a sister to stakes-winner Easy Landing.

A Group II winning son of Redoute's Choice, Tickets stands at Widden Stud at a fee of $6,600.
