Young
Emirates Park shuttler Dream Ahead (USA) featured overnight when his two year-old
colt Donjuan Triumphant scored an impressive victory in the Group II Criterion de
Maisons-Laffitte in France.
Already a stakes-winner in the UK this year, the Richard Fahey trained colt was
utterly dominant in taking the six furlong sprint by five and a half lengths.
Donjuan Triumphant has had a busy and successful season with the overall record
of three wins and four placings from seven starts.
A half-brother to stakes-winner Caledonian Spring from the well related Tagula mare Mathuna,
Donjuan Triumphant is one of two stakes-winners this year for Dream Ahead, who
has 16 winners on the board from his first Northern Hemisphere bred crop.
His oldest Australian progeny are two year-olds this season and Dream Ahead
stands at Emirates Park at a fee of $27,500.
