Frankel Yearlings Confirmed for Inglis Easter

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday November 24
The just released Preview Magazine for the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale has confirmed that the world's most exciting young stallion Frankel will have representation at Australia's flagship sale with five youngsters by the unbeaten superstar appearing in the index for 2016.

FrankelA number of mares were bred to Frankel to Southern Hemisphere time resulting in foals born in Australia last year and five will be offered for sale, but not the most famous of them all, the filly from John Singleton's champion mare More Joyous.

Singo will however offer the first foal (a colt) from his Group II winner More Strawberries, a half-sister to Group I winner and sire All American.

Cressfield will offer a filly from Kiwi Group II winner Jeu des Cartes and a colt from Buenos Aires (IRE), a half-sister to Australian Horse of the Year Might and Power, while Widden stud will offer a filly from Mocca (IRE), the dam of Group III winner Kiyoshi.

Three Bridges Thoroughbreds will also get in on the Frankel action presenting the first foal (filly) of South African bred Group I winner Chocolicious (SAfr).

Frankel's first runners will hit European tracks in 2016, so it will be most interesting to see how the international buyers receive these youngsters based on what is happening with their Northern Hemisphere bred counterparts.

Will Frankel have a winner on the board before Easter or at least something promising in the pipeline?

The Europeans will have all the answers.
