Seventh Stakes Winner for Danerich

Mark Smith - Sunday November 29
Way back in October 2011 Didntcostalot made his career debut with a five and a half-length romp in a Wyong maiden, fast forward four years and 35 starts, the aptly named son of Danerich earned his first stakes win in Saturday's $200,000 Group III George Moore Stakes (1200m) at Doomben.

Trainer Tony Gollan had half of the ten horse field, the most favoured being Didntcostalot who led every step of the way under Tegan Harrison to defeat stablemates Gundy Spirit and Fontelina.

Purchased out of the Eldon Park Stud draft at the 2010 Magic Millions National Yearling sale, Didntcostalot advances his overall record to 10, 5 2 36 for earnings of $513,745.

Gollan said the 7yo gelding would have his next start in the Magic Millions Sprint (1100m) at the Gold Coast on January 9.

Didntcostalot is the second foal of the Encosta de Lago mare Costi who failed to earn a penny in her four career starts.

Costi is a half-sister to Southern Rock a smart performer in Malaysia where his 12 wins included the Listed Selangor Gold Cup and a Magic Millions Trophy.

The next sign of black-type comes under the fourth dam Timing (Radames) the dam of Group II Ascot Vale Stakes winner Zephyr Cross (Zephyr Zing).

Costi has a 2yo Danerrich colt named You Wan Sum and a yearling colt by Cardinal Virtue. She foaled a colt by Bianconi (USA) on October 16.

Didntcostalot becomes the seventh stakes-winner for Rangal Park Stud's Danehill stallion Danerich who is currently covering his ninth book of mares at a fee of $7,700.
