Talented
Foxwedge filly Love Me Baby was in a class of her own when bolting away to win
as she pleased when making her debut at Canberra on Friday.
The John Sargent trained filly was placed in a recent trial behind her stablemate
In the Vanguard, who won impressively on debut at Canterbury on Wednesday and
ran right up to that good form in the 1000 metre open juvenile event.
She enjoyed a good run from gate one for Jeff Penza to settle just behind the
leaders and strode away to win by four lengths in a dominant display.
Passed in at the Magic Millions Yearling Sale last year, she is the second winner
for US stakes-winner Silvercup Baby (USA).
The current yearling from Silvercup Baby, a colt by Foxwedge, will be offered
at Inglis Classic as Lot 257 by Wahha Thoroughbreds.
Love Me Baby is the third winner for Newgate Farm's exciting young sire
Foxwedge, who has 11 entries for Inglis Classic starting this Saturday evening.
